The story of the day was we arrived and about and hour or so later the Frecce Tricolori recovered into Spang, couple of hours later we hear start ups and count them thinking its going to be based SP jets finally starting the days flying,oh fudge 12 start ups must be the Frecce getting ready to depart! Low and behold what appears coming up the sloping taxiway but 12 F-117`s......oh to have taken pictures that day!
Re: F-117s
Ok, we left after the first 12 F-117s departed for home but logged 19 in total that day which made up for the fact that we only saw 2 out of 12 at Aviano a month or so before! :-)

Now I know what I'm looking at, the serial, although scrubbed out, is actually visible on what I've started calling "TR red" - which is now know to be 841:

Hi all,
Did anyone ever get the registration of the one that carried out a single fly past at Woodford airshow on 3/6/2000?
Many Thanks

Re: F-117s
Brilliant thank you, cheers for that
Re: F-117s
Amazing to see that it's still in service, and clearly we know it has been for a while now, but it's made that much more official when it flies into a base that releases a statement about the deployment!
Not the prettiest aircraft, and outdone by the modern **** stealth platforms, but still low observable and a low IR aircraft I can see why they wanted to keep using them for air combat training roles.
