Can't explain what one pilot said about two objects climbing, but I was out last night at about 1900 and saw a white meteor that lasted around 4 or 5 seconds with minimal tail low in the south falling at a 45 degree angle.

The sighting received a lot of attention on Irish media.

Was it this one? https://ukmeteornetwork.co.uk/fireballs ... 10_050702/
No,the one I saw was on the 12th and no where near as spectacular. It was just the length of time it survived and its slow speed for a meteor that was interesting.

A meteor a long way away will always appear slower than a meteor nearer to you, even though they could be doing the same speed.

Good point,but still lasted a long time for a meteor,around 5 seconds.

Dashcam footage from Northern Ireland. Looks like a meteor breaking up.

Footage of what some believe to be a U.F.O. in the sky over Northern Ireland has been shared on social media. The footage was recorded on a dash-cam by Sandy Laverty of the public as they drove to work on the Cloyfin Road in Coleraine on Friday November 9 at 06:44am.

Quite easy to geolocate exactly where the footage was taken from.
