Hi Mike, thanks again for your info. Really appreciate it
Re: RAF 100 Flypast
For those not allowed to view the direct link, like me.
To get it the long way. Click on the link below
http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/
once there click on
AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION CIRCULARS (AICs)
then click on the Mauve link
then on the link M 043/2018 for the rehearsals.
or M 049/2018 for the actual day
which will download a pdf document to your device.
The above method is a bit more reliable because if NATS make any changes the final document will get a new address.

BBMF and helicopters tend to slot in on the outskirts of London.TankBuster wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 8:11 pmWill BBMF fly the whole route from Suffolk, or will they slot in nearer London as they normally do for the flypasts?
Cheers,

3 Pumas and 6? Chinooks from Benson yesterday, 7or 8 from Odiham last week.
I believe its supposed to be 109 (100 and the Reds) but all soon will be revealed..

Re: RAF 100 Flypast
Has anyone photographed the practice's in the past from Cranwell?
I have been trying to work out where to go, best place I can think of so far is here, just off the threshold of Runway 09, anyone have any other places to suggest?

Re: RAF 100 Flypast
I'm trying to work out what contingent of the flypast will break off once flying over Buckingham Palace.
Will the fighters head off to Hendon, the heavies over Heathrow and the helicopters down to Runnymede?

Flypast and Cranwell, regards reaper493 question, I think thats the Caythorpe junction with the A17. Thats where I tend to watch the Queens Flypast rehearsal if its following that route and manage to get some good shots.

Re: RAF 100 Flypast
seen the chinooks practice, 8 airborne but only 6 in the formation, think there was an air spare, the 8th one laded at weevil, seen all day there and left alone some three hours behind the others, didn't fly with them at all..redeye11 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 26, 2018 7:15 pmCan't recall where, but last week saw the alleged line up was to be -
9 Hawk T1, 9 Hawk T2, 7 Tornado, 3 F35, 21 Typhoons in a 100 formation, 9 Reds, 5 Chinook, 2 Puma, 5 more Chinooks, 3 Juno/Jupiter,
BBMF, 9 Tucano, 3 Prefect, 2 Shadow, 1 Phenom, 3 Hercules, 1 Atlas, 1 C17, 2 Bae 146, 1 Sentinel, 1 Voyager, 1 RC135 and 1 AWACS.
So if BBMF put up a 4 ship Lanc-Spit-Hurri-Dak we have 103.......please don't shoot the messenger !
Re: RAF 100 Flypast
So, looking at what’s been flying, the SH piece would appear to be 3 Pumas, 6 Chinooks. Those at Coningsby have been watching the launches; is it 21 or more (accepting they prob launch an airspare). No reports of any Tucano practices seen since Dec. Is Shawbury launching 3 of each helicopter or 3 in total? BBMF to launch 8? The Texan/Tucano appear to have lucked out.
Re: RAF 100 Flypast
Believe 28 Typhoon launched for the practice today.
Re: RAF 100 Flypast
Any suggestions on frequencies for the flypast?
Do they use Marham/Cranwell towers or RAFU Swanwick?

Re: RAF 100 Flypast
I may be in central London on the day. Is there a good vantage point, somewhere with a bit of height, that anyone can recommend?
Thanks
