F15 over Lothians?

Just think I've seen and heard an F15 over my house heading northwest?
Anyone confirm what I saw and heard? Thanks!

There were certainly at least 4 or perhaps 6 flying overhead at quite an altitude around 45 mins ago. I certainly heard them and saw the contrails but as I was pegging out the washing I couldn't id them. I jokingly said that they wouldn't be ours. You're probably correct with F15s

It was the scoring roar that alerted me over the noise of an excavator which was working away in the back garden area. I missed the main body but caught a straggler making a similar "Scoring roar" that made me look up and think F15. I've not heard F16s or Typhoons making that scoring roar as they pass. (But f16s have yet to make their appearance overhead.)
