FR24 showing 2 U28s due at 1745 and 1805 tonight.
Using BUGER callsigns.

Just seen the Herc too. King 69.

King69 now on the roll at Stuttgart, so dep. almost 2hrs later as planned.

U-28s are behind KING69 due to one of them suffering a flat tyre on rollout. All 3 a/c airborne but only KING69 tracking on apps.

Any idea how far behind the Herc the 2 U-28s are? Seeing as we can’t track them?

All 3 now landed, could anyone tie up serials with the callsigns please? Also can anyone let me know what units these are from? I include the Herc in this question of course.

Any idea of a departure date & time anyone?

The U-28s were visually confirmed on arrival at Edinburgh as 07-0777 and 08-0700.

The HC-130J is from the 129th Rescue Wing of the California ANG.
The U-28’s could either be from 1st SOW at Hurlburt Field, Florida or the 27th SOW at Cannon, New Mexico.

Sorry just seen this, they were about 12 & 15 mins behind the herc on arrival

The serial for the MC-130J 14-5864/CA, all three aircraft were sitting on the 'Turnhouse Apron' (stands 300-304) at 0700L this morning (05/04/23).

Can anyone confirm the definite type for the C-130?
Discounting Facebook where you get things like the U-28 serials being 80-0700, I've seen AC-130J, HC-130J & MC-130J at least

Have these guys left Edinburgh yet, never heard anything else about them? Are they staying for Easter?

I was up from Newcastle this morning,all 3 still present at 10 am

1400.
C130 still at EDI, vis from northbound M90 loop to Forth Bridge.

All 3 were due out 1145/1150/1200 today but cancelled due to wx issues in Iceland.

Are all these visible from the outside?

If you mean to take pictures next to them through fence, Yes. You can briefly drive round the GA perimeter road that leads to Turnhouse Road. Not advisable to stay for more than 5 mins especially if you have a vehicle (security reasons) so get your shots and go pretty much.

Also, you can walk from Turnhouse Road, it's about a brisk 5 min walk to where the U-28s are, a further 2 mins or so on grass to get to pretty much side on/rear right of where the herc is. Hope this helps. Again, don't stay anymore than 5 mins as for obvious reasons security if pretty tight.
