Hawk T2 on approach
Hawk T2 on approach
Looks like ZK014 is heading in for a PD, no callsign showing on FR24 or ADS-B.
Take the serial with a pinch of salt (as always).

Re: Hawk T2 on approach
The point we were trying to make is that you cannot rely on virtual radar sites for military serials, which is why Mike asked the question. My reply was rather short I'll admit so apologies.

hi
every time I send any report in to this web site I get a smart answer
its very off putting as of the report I sent in i was 100 per cent sure it was that hawk, i have been spotting for many years
i have found you cannot even rely on flight plans ,its all about knowledge in your hobby, the next time i will not bother ,there are more important things going on

Shame this chappie came over after it was dark, I've just decided to stop all spotting as soon as it gets dark as it's impossible to see anything, wonder if I could as Santa for a pair of Nightvision binoculars?

Re: Hawk T2 on approach
Dave C, with all due respect you cannot be 100% without eyeballing as every spotter knows. Not intended as a smart answer at all. I have also been spotting for many years before the Internet. Also just trying to help, and you had an apology. Nothing else I can add.
Re: Hawk T2 on approach
Looks like a Hawk T.2 has just made the first PD at Edinburgh of 2021. Sadly I was on a phonecall so missed it just saw the back as it disappeared into the distance.
Re: Hawk T2 on approach
Yes, looks like it was ZK028*/Reptile 3 according to ADS-B
* = take serial with large helping of salt.
Re: Hawk T2 on approach
It looks like ZK029* has just done a PD at Edinburgh according to ADS-B, no callsign showing.
* = take serial with another large helping of salt.

Re: Hawk T2 on approach
Heard the jet on approach never saw it but from the radio it sounded like Victor 57?
