Qatar Amiri Flight A340 inbound

Due to arrive in about 1hr from now is A7-AAH A340-300 of the Qatar Amiri Flight,planned on the ground for about 1 1/2 hrs but could go out earlier.

So that's what it was, in middle of my lunch and look out of my window to see a Qatar Aircraft but it looked bigger than our usual Dreamliner or Airbus A.350 looked at FR24 and nothing. Trust me not to have my binos or scanner when something like this comes in.

It was posted on a few Facebook groups. Seems to be the way forward these days as not much gets posted in advance on some threads on this.

I've heard QAF5 A319 A7-HHJ is due 1130 today (Thursday) and the B748 is due Prestwick Friday
So I've heard anyway

Its A7-HJJ A330 thats due this morning and as you say should arrive around 1130 aswell as an RAF C-17 also due at 1130

Saw the A.330 at 11.30 as AMIRI 5, was the C-17 dropping off on the way back from Aberdeen?

RAF C-17 ZZ178 landed approx 13.30 and looked to be parking over at cargo.

Yes I also saw the RAF C-17, always a fantastic sight - very much Thunderbird 2.

Shame it wasn’t a Qatari C-17.
