Chinook?

Post by Sabredog » Wed Oct 07, 2020 9:39 pm

What was that flying over central Edinburgh just now? It looked like a Chinook with it's lights on, flying in formation with another or possibly a plane, but without its light on!

One is showing as ZK562 LIFTER11 and appears to have flown from the North Berwick area were an Osprey was operating over recently with another showing as 12-0063 coming up the Northumberland coast .

They flew a circuit round Edinburgh and then headed north. I don't think I've ever seen an aircraft flying over a city without its light on though. Is this usual?

Lifter11 now inbound Leuchars...? over my house !!

CV-22B has departed RM Condor [ just off shore passed Crail-Fife] following almost the same route as it did when leaving East Lothian coast at North Berwick.
