Good to see the RAF.

Post by Unknown74 » Fri Aug 31, 2018 10:42 am

Just been viewing the RAF C-17 doing about 2 missed approaches followed by landing. Also a nice little extra and no doubt unnoticed was ZE707 the RAF 146 which I saw but never realised who or what it was.

Saw the C17 fly over the Moffat valley and when I got home I also had a shot of the 146. Did anyone get the reg for the C17? It looks like ZZ171, on the pics, but it's at altitude and hard to make out. Now if only it had done the valley.

Just out of curiosity can anyone confirm the I.D. of the 146? FlightRadar have it as ZE707 but elsewhere it's been reported as 708?

Thanks in advance.

ZZ171 carried out 2 missed approaches and then landed at Aberdeen after departure from Edinburgh.
Cheers.

Nah, they did 2 approaches before they realised they weren't at Aberdeen. That's what you get for going to a 2 man crew on the flightdeck. :D
