Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
Thankfully not far to walk to Bruntsfield Links, 50-50
Take a look at my Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/jimsheach
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
I'll not be risking my money!

All at the same time, I've seen bright, warm sunshine, clear blue sky, light, fluffy clouds and dark, almost stormy ones. So it's anybody's guess!

Microsoft Weather app shows light rain (45% chance), with light winds. Met Office says dry (10% chance of rain), light cloud.
Hmmm... I'll just make sure I'm ready to head out.
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
I may have the radio on just in case? But not hopeful. We shall see….
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
Currently sunny. Cloud level middling (a technical term, I believe!:D ) but fairly dense, meaning the bottom of the clouds is quite dark. I'm moderately optimistic as of now but I'd like a nice wind to blow the clouds out to see before dying back down so I don't have to cycle in it.

Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
I wonder if because they’ve had so many Flypasts Called off they’ve decided to conclude them for this Year as it’s uncertain how conditions are going to be…
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
You have to wonder. After all, we've had East Fortune binned because of the shocking weather conditions that were present so many times recently, so it wouldn't surprise anyone if they binned the flypasts early doors.
Well that's PLANE to see!
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
Poseidon P8 GURNY01 doing circuits out in the North Sea. Or was it the C17 or A400M tonight?
Well that's PLANE to see!
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
I heard it was a C-17 but who knows?
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
Let's hope the above (cancellation) isn't true.
Only action at Brize Norton is a Voyager which has returned from Lithuania. C17 tonight, according to the page 1 list. I would have thought a C17 might have been airborne by now...

Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
It's heading NE to the sea, so it might be the one we're waiting for. I'm fuelled and cleared for take-off myself. Good luck to anyone spotting/photographing tonight.

Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2022
Looks like it, it's heading North!

Well that's PLANE to see!
