Not quite the Red Arrows or a Poseidon but at that size it’s still spectacular anyway.

Blue sky at 8:30.........thick cloud, dark and rain by 9:00 so struggled to get focus. Here's the video from Bruntsfield Links https://youtu.be/5OJkqe5e-TY

Well, I feel like I've just come back from the Sahara, only without the bleached hair and tan! I was sandblasted, thanks to the wind on the Crags tonight. No wonder I was the only one within 100m of my spot, and possibly the only one mad enough to have stayed up there for the flypast. I still had grit in my teeth as I walked back down. It was quite an approach as she came in over the Firth rather than over Arthurs Seat. I had to ramp the ISO up to 40,000 to combat the wind and lack of light, so the results are poor. But I've posted a couple here.

Sadly, on my way home, I saw a cyclist down at the Haymarket tramlines. Hope they are ok. Ambulance in attendance and tram stopped.

Bit of a shame there’s not a Flypast tonight, after the rain earlier looks quite nice tonight.

Final flypast tonight and it's shaping up to be another cloudy one unfortunately. Looks like there'll be a blob of cloud right over the city centre and with one week plus 30min less daylight compared to the penultimate flypast, it might be another disappointing display.

I’ll keep an eye on here and have the scanner on just in case, I’m not hopeful I’ll see it but who knows.

Latest NOTAM seems to be suggesting flypast tonight will be at 8:30 instead of 9:00. Must admit that’s a first but seems sensible given lower light levels

Yes - I was surprised by that. Could have sworn an earlier notification showed times the other way round so I wonder if it’s a mistake on the NOTAM. That said - it might well be cancelled if the weather continues as it currently is

I think it is unusual to have two Tattoo shows on a Friday. So the flypast will be for 21.30 BST (the second show). If it does take place the Typhoon will have to come through with everything lit up including the engines. Let's hope the weather improves but it's pretty murky at the moment.

Evening folks!!! I'm betting it's a no show tonight. Calderwood has just this minute had a heavy downpour. Looks like it's the pattern for this evening. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Oh no, they’ve not had a good run with the flypasts this Year, shame that & they looked pretty good, well we did get an A.400 and C-17, might still listen out just in case but I think it might be a no-show again unfortunately

The scanner is going on regardless! Camcorder is handy, but I think I may be about to be disappointed once again.
If it does go ahead,,,,,,,,is it a Lossie or Coltishall kite?
Well that's PLANE to see!

Controversial I know but I do that with Lossiemouth and Leuchars, I still forget the Typhoons are at Lossie now.
