A quick check to the Tattoo website confirms the performance tonight (5/8) starts at 8.30 and at 9.00pm on the other 2 dates.

I think the flyover is usually for the start of the performance so I would be surprised if its not at 8.30. Could it be a practice run perhaps? If the weather keeps clear I might pop up Arthur Seat for a good view. However - I suspect the pub might also be calling too ! . Decisons decisons :S

And I promise not to well up when the lone piper plays "The Lament" from the battlements or when the bugler plays "The last post" (Gets me every time!!)

Not yet but so far it looks like there's a flypast every 2 days (no performance on Sundays) so I would have thought there was every chance...................!.

Len..
No probs Will do. Should get clarification in the next 2 days if its on.

Am just back from tonights flypast. It was a single Tornado GR4 c/s Lossie 33. A rather nice passover of the castle at 1000 foot with some lovely pyrotechnics simulating an explosion as he passed. Very pretty.

Time to lie down now in a dark room

:D

Fly past on tonight. 7.30 on the dot over the castle.
Unfortunately appears to be last one for more than a week.

Think one of them is recovering due to an emergency.

Hi one went up princess st at 1930 wow it was impresive, i think it was a simulated attack on the castle as there was a lot of gunfire as it past,i like to see the tourists getting all bothered about it
