A gust of wind?

Post by Unknown74 » Fri Feb 17, 2023 10:02 am

Was out for a little exercise yesterday and when I got back I had a little lie down to get my breath back and wondered why the wind was so loud so checking FlightRadar24 discovered that to my horror my loud wind was in fact an RAF Typhoon that had just made a PD to Runway 24, So one gust of stormy wind was mistaken for another. That’s the second Typhoon I’ve missed in 2 weeks on approach to Edinburgh! Can’t believe my bad luck! Oh well better luck next time!

We live a distance from the airport in the south east of Edinburgh. My wife and I were sitting watching the television when we heard the noise. I looked on FR24 and saw it was a Typĥoon. It must have been a fair old racket for those directly beneath the flight path.

Looks like we've had another gust of wind. 2 Typhoons going over at altitude. Do they count as Edinburgh visitors?
