Just wondering wether we were expecting a return visit from the French Hercules or the Canadian Polaris that visited a few Weeks ago? Just wondering as the Tattoo has now finished wether any transports were due in connection? Or have they been and gone?

I'm led to believe the French A310 that operated out of Prestwick last weekend was switched from Edinburgh not sure if right or not

Disappointed to have missed them at Edinburgh but not surprised to hear they came back to Prestwick.

Our Son was out & about 2 days ago (Tuesday), mid afternoon and was certain a C130 flew overhead just to the South West of Edinburgh (Currie / Balerno area). Said it was quite low.

Also, as an aside, there was a Chinook flying around the South of Edinburgh last night. Came in from the North, then looked to be flying circuits around Oxgangs / Bonaly area around 9pm then departed quite low out toward Livingston around 9.20pm.

Thanks sandywatt28 - forgot to ask, is there a chance that this particular aircraft was wearing D-Day markings? There was mention of Black stripes.
