Just flew over Kilkhampton near Bude very fast. Just saw a flash of the plane, no ID at all.

I would have replied straight away but it's taken until now to get my account activated :)

Yes, it was a Tornado. Very fast at what looked like a couple of hundred feet.
It may have just been the way it looked in the light but it appeared to be dark brown ??

As zaphod30 said, account took until today to get activated, i live on the outskirts of fourlanes, it appeared from behind carn brea heading towards st agnes, defo tornado gr4 fully swept and not hanging around.
Seen them a couple of times in the last few week`s, last one done a low level pass of culdrose, hopefully will being seeing them a bit more in the future.
Up to the mach loop in august, happy days.

Thanks guys, I thought it was probably a Tornado it was really moving fast. I don't remember seeing one that fast down this way. It scared my 4 year old ( and my wife) as they weren't expecting it. We had at least 1 hawk about today which he liked seeing.

He would have been doing the site seeing tour with in LFA 3 (that's low flying area 3) .
They tend to descended low level in West Devon somewhere then route down towards lands end before heading out to sea to a set point, before turning around to head back the same way they came taking in the lovely cornish sites and / or maybe doing a missed approach at either Newquay or Culdrose as they go
Tornados, F-15s and RAF Hercules are the norm theses days.
But years ago it could be Jaguars, A10's and Swingers (there F111s for anyone that's doesn't know ;) )and on a more regular basis than these days

I can remember year`s ago when i was in the air cadet`s going to St Mawgan back when it was an active R A F base watching F4 Phantom`s and Jaguar`s taking off, used to send shiver`s down your spine.

The A10's used to use the Four Lanes mast as a turning point as well, we lived in Four Lanes for a couple of years and as above really gave my eldest a few shocks when he was young popping over the hill.
