NEWQUAY FOST

Post by lifter40612 » Sat Jun 28, 2014 6:57 am

I`m planning to pop into the airfield next month and was wondering if the FOST choppers still operating out of Newquay, if so is it possible to get good photo shots from somewhere.

Yes they still operate from Newquay. I saw ZJ164 approach and land from the West 4 weeks ago, shortly after the Red Arrows arrived, which would have given good photos. You can also take photos at the eastern end.

Sorry I didn't see where it ended up on the airfield. I believe they operate from a hangar on the North side of the airfield.

Yes they do over by the new tower. There visible when parked outside from the road at the end of runway 12. ;)
