ANG dets to Geilenkirchen

Hi,

could anyone point me to a rough date when the ANG started the rotation of Tankers in support of NATO please?

I've just found a note that mentions 1993, but that sounds a little early perhaps?

January 2003 is absolutely correct - witnessed personally by means of my mark 1 eyeballs ;-)

Only saw this request this morning so my apologies for a late reply.....

Well I hate to spoil the fun but Stuart is pretty close.

The first ever ANG KC-135 detachment to Geilenkirchen took place in early January 1993! This was confirmed to me in an oral interview with a former ANG Liaison Officer at the base during my time there.
