Circular polariser filter

Advise please folks
Getting into photography and shooting planes should I use a circular polarising filter permanently on my lens
With a canon 600?

A circular polariser has a pretty specific purpose, it is not the type of filter most people would leave permanently fitted. I cannot think of any reason why anyone would - not least as you will loose two stops of light typically, which depending upon the camera/lens combo might even mean losing auto-focus.

...then again perhaps if you reside in the Caribbean :cool:
