Nikon D5600 Bundle

Post by YellowBelly » Sat Apr 09, 2022 3:55 pm

looking at moving up to DSLR from a Bridge camera and thinking about this bundle to get me going as it's affordable.

Interested to hear folks thoughts on it, my main passion is aviation and birds.

any advice appreciated. cheers.

Not able to give advice on particular camera/lens but if you do decide on this then I suggest shopping around and also whether you need everything in the bundle. I have seen a similar one for around £300 less (SLRHut but no idea how good/reliable they are). Worth spending a bit of time researching before committing hard-earned readies! Hope you enjoy if/when you get sorted.

It looks an impressive bundle but looks can deceive. I would urge caution. Like Nighthawke I would be wary of paying for accessories I neither need nor would use. I too would suggest doing some research before parting with your cash. For birds I would have thought a 70-300 lens would be an absolute minimum. Better to go for, say, a 100-400 (Sigma and Tamron make good examples). Don't rule out the secondhand market. Your money will go further and quality kit is available at attractive prices from reputable dealers like Ffordes, MPB and Wex, among others, with the backing of a warranty. Good luck in your search.

Hi all,

brilliant thank you.

as u rightly say Yunglee i doubt everything would be needed, so better to just get the body and a better lens and keep my bridge camera for general use. will look at your recommended company.

cheers
