Sony A9 focus settings
Sony A9 focus settings
Bought a Sony A9 recently and just wondering what focus area mode settings people are finding best for aviation photography?

Re: Sony A9 focus settings
That’s a great camera, you’ll have some fun with it!
I shoot with an A7R II and an A6100, so I’m a Sony convert.
I think the A6100 AF system is the closest to your A9, but in both cameras I’m quite old school to be honest.
I use Aperture priority, and either centre spot S for static aircraft, or wide with tracking for anything in the air. In both cases it’s AF-C. As I’m sure you’re finding, there are even more sophisticated options on your A9 so that you can set it to ignore temporary foreground targets amongst others, but I do try to keep it simple.
What lenses are you pairing it with?
