Camera body or Lens?

Post by owensy » Sun Oct 30, 2016 9:26 pm

Hi,
I'm thinking of upgrading, but not sure if I should upgrade my Canon 40d or my Sigma APO DG 70-300. Budget £300-400ish.

Any suggestions please??

Thanks,

Paul

Hi,
I would say lens, not sure what you are after, I swear by MPB, see banner on this page, excellent second user gear, good prices.
Good hunting.

The better the glass the better the image, how about a Canon L 70-200mm F4? should get that for your price range and a great lens too
The last time I saw an F22 at Lakenheath i DIDN'T photoshop it...

I would go for the lens change/upgrade option. What about a Sigma APO DG OS 100 - 500 mm. It will be the top end of your budget, but I got one a few months ago and I Looooooorve it lol.

Cheers

I did see a 100-400 (Canon us ism etc) for around £400 either on here or our sister site (Civilian aviation) the other day, pretty much the perfect lens for aviation.

Mmmm sounds good. I see the 150-500 is not much more, but I have not heard about the quality of them.

Paul,

If you want to have a look at the 120-40 drop me a pm, more than welcome to have a look at it.

(currently can't take photos with it due to having surgery yesterday on left wrist)
