Question re 1200

Post by PR9 » Wed Oct 21, 2009 6:25 pm

Hi,

I see that a lot of people are now posting images in higher resolutions, but scaled down to comply to the 800ish x 600ish size limits for posting on the board. Just wondering how this is done?

Does the board automatically scale an image down if linked from photobucket etc or is it something that is done in editing?

Cheers. :)

Hi

You will have to resize your pictures during the editing stage to 1200 pixels before posting.

You can post images up to 1200x width (you need to do that in your editing). The forum software will then scale the image down for the people who need it smaller (low resolution/small monitors) and leave it alone for those who have a high resolution/big monitor and can view it big.
