All,
Put this up on Twitter last night to get some constructive criticism, in the end this is what I have, does anyone else have any thoughts before I waste some time uploading it to Airliners.net? :P

Looks a bit soft Chris, especially around the winch. Bit of purple fringing on the wheels as well.

Cheers Ben, will apply a little more USM when I get home, where's the purple fringing? Can't see it on my monitor at work and my home one is a bit knackered anyway until I can recalibrate it!

Right on the bottom it looks like Chris, this wasn't taken with a Sigma 70-300 was it? Looks similar to the fringing my brother got out of his.

Thanks. I wish it was! Taken with the kit 75-300 that came with the camera, can't afford anything else at the moment :(

The purpling is most pronounced on the bottom edge of the left hand wheel, as we look at it, I think. The winch is a little soft as is the area just above it.

Cheers

4/4 rejected - all for the same reason - Soft/Contrast

I keep getting this contrast rejection, but I dont see it, some people have mentioned Halo's, but I really dont see them lol!!! im only applying around +6 of contrast and one stab of Sharpen at around 40% and 0.2 size.

I just got my first rejection

So much for "they go easy on newbies"

Apparently it was to dark, maybe I should have shot it from the toilet or some how managed to get someone through the window on the loo and I would have been onto a winner.

welcome to bogliners.net

First one looks a tad hazy, so maybe thats what they mean by contrast?

Others look fine, especially that A380! :O

I think you were unlucky with the Eagle shot there Dunk! The others seem a little flat though, especially the PdF pic, but nothing a little tweak of the contrast and/or curves couldn't fix! Perhaps give the Emirates A340 a little kick of USM too? :)

Emirates A340 needs contrast and so does the French Alpha
Other two are perfect mate! :P

It looks more like the Frecce than the Arrows. Its amazing what does & doesn't get accepted.

I thought the same when I saw that and was even more surprised when I saw it get into top top 5 of the last 24 hours. I wonder how close that is to the original image!

Seems a little harsh there Monty, it's not like they're really soft or anything! One little kick of USM and they'll be fine.
