Shutter priority vs Manual
Re: Shutter priority vs Manual
Posts should come with an automatic disclaimer: "anything I type in this box is my own personal preference and can be ignored as you see fit". B58Hustlers note made me think about some of the things I noticed, but the bottom line is that if you want 10 opinions, just line up 10 photographers. And they all take lovely pictures!

Re: Shutter priority vs Manual
Gosh! I’m glad that this thread wasn’t published back in the last century when I bought my first digital camera.
Should anyone give a damn about how I cobbled images over the last twenty or more years, I generally use shutter and carry a quick reference manual to scan through when I forget which of all the buttons I should be using.
My first 35mm camera was a Wehrmacht? Please forgive my poor spelling

Re: Shutter priority vs Manual
I have always got to know my cameras, how they work and use the appropriate settings. If I'm happy with the result then it worked. If not I check the exif and work it out for next time.
Re: Shutter priority vs Manual
I use manual now, but previous to that I would use shutter priority. I like to be able to control the shutter especially for fast jets.
