Canon Flatbed Scanner 9000Mk.2

Post by John W » Tue Mar 06, 2018 9:17 am

Hi Folks.
Ive had one of the above for several years and as a scanner, for prints or negs., I think it does an excellent job.
All the scans go to what is called "My image Garden"
Does anyone know how to export or share individual or multiple image from "My Image Garden"
I have the very latest software for both the Scanner and "My Image Garden" (installed yesterday) but nowhere can I see a facility for sharing.

Been in touch with Canon, but they are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Regards,

John W.

John

Don't have that scanner but had a quick look at the user guide online and it appears My Image Garden is mainly a file storage area for your scans.

In terms of export do you mean to another folder, if so drag and drop should work, or to online storage such as Flickr when the upload tool just needs to be pointed at the appropriate folder.

If you are talking about sharing them here I believe there are size limitations which would mean you may have to edit your scans, best look at the "How to post photos on FC" topic in this section.

That sounds like good advice from Ian.
If that doesn't work, try right clicking on an image and copy and paste it into another folder...if that's what you want to do with it.
Regards Dave.
Edit, I mean if drag and drop doesn't work.

Thank you Ian and Dave.

Both of those suggestions work so with a bit of forward planning I can get what I want out of Image Garden to a location where I can then do whatever I want with them.

Not very computer savi, but I have also learned that all of the scans in "My Image Garden" are on the hard drive and can be found through Windows Explorer and again can be manipulated to share or export.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply. Both a big help.

Regards,

John W.
