Tamron 70-300mm

For general, low level and airshow photography for aircraft.. when using aperture priority for nikon there but think its av for canon :S whats is the best sweet spot for it??
Ps: my camera is a nikon d7200 but am very intrigued what others use

If its the normal DG one, i usually find it between 150 and 250mm. I used this lens at RIAT this year to save having to carry the big one around, but to be honest , I wish I had taken the bigger one with me lol. At least my shoulders were'nt aching when I got home.
