I can confirm from official sources Exercise Ocean Sky at Gando AB
was officially cancelled on Friday 26 October
I have requested if possible for a spotters event to go ahead for those that booked tickets & hotels in advance of the official confirmation.
Let's hope it is successful.

Get in touch with the Defence Section of the British Embassy in Madrid, stating that people booked flights/hotels etc .... to tie in with the Ex and proposed spotters day.

State that you appreciate that these things happen but would it be at all possible for a photo shoot of based a/c for a day during that period.

Not saying it will help but it ain't going to hurt trying.

No it doesn’t, it says that he has asked somebody somewhere if it would be possible for such an opportunity to be held, at no point does he mention or suggests he has contacted the British Embassy, maybe he has but it isn’t mentioned in his post. The majority of times these things have to be done through official channels and going direct won’t get you anywhere.

Sorry, but it does not say "he has asked somebody somewhere". It says "I have requested".
So as you were referred back to that comment, put two and two together.
No further comment.
