Lajes - USAF KC-135 arrival 21/11/20

Post by vulcanxl425 » Sat Nov 21, 2020 12:43 pm

Arriving around 1135L USAF KC-135R 57-1419 from Moron, Spain c/s Otis 81.
57-1419 is the oldest jet still in USAF inventory

Edit: Departed 1251L heading west

No. Miscoded box.

The aircraft involved was VMGR-252 KC-130J 165810/BH going back home, having been replaced on the "BRONCO" detachment at Moron by 169534 (arrived 18/11 as "OTIS81").

The real 57-1419 would appear to be firmly on the deck at Phoenix AZ, not having flown since 10th July 2020 as "COPPER4".

No problem, Al. Miscodes are a pain in the arras, but it is useful to keep up with them. :)

Incidentally, "OTIS" is the usual VMGR-252 callsign, which was how I picked up the miscode originally.......viewtopic.php?f=33&t=190182
