Yeovilton Departures

After barely surviving the heat on Saturday I headed down to VL with the sun in the right place today for departures.......
First move of the day was an Eastern EMB135 (sorry), lots of people asking why these are regular at VL, anyone shed any light ?

First to depart was the Czech Gripen, it must have been hot on Saturday, I didn't notice the painted canards !

Three Typhoons in a row
Departed at 10sec intervals with only the last one using the afterburner, turbulence maybe ?

Next in was Qinetiq's PA31, assume bringing crew for the RJ

A wave from the PC7 pilot

Back to the loud stuff, really like the scheme on the Belgian F16

Followed by what I assume was the back up aircraft

Next up the Casa 295, I assume it went tech as it taxied over to the far side and parked up, it didn't move for the rest of the time I was there

After the VC10, Trident, 1-11 and Concorde the 146 (I know) is my favorite airliner

And what I came for, it occured to me on the way I have never seen one take off !

She was asked to pull down the runway to avoid further damage to the perimeter fence !

Bye Bye Gorgeous

No circuit but a wave good bye

Thanks for looking, comments welcome.
