B17G "Chuckie"

Post by Timc63 » Sun Mar 31, 2013 12:13 pm

Another display aircraft at the TICO airshow was the B17G "Chuckie".

Built in 1943 in Burbank, California it was designated as a pathfinder. That all metal finish is a bit tricky to photograph!

Cheers
Tim

Had the pleasure of flying in this bird at Airsho '82. In formation with three other B-17s, numerous P-51s and two P-47s. Heaven.
