Excellent post (all 3)

Good to see you got some shots of the USN a/c. If I remember correctly they were parked very close together and were difficult to photograph ( I only had a 55mm lense at the time).

Thanks for your comment, you made me realise I had omitted the E-2C as it has its nose cropped due to the compact parking.

Lovley records there, what variety! You've done really well, 'cos the statics were very tight at Greenham...

A very nice selection of photos, I don't think we will every see such variety in one place again.

Fantastic, what acollection, makes you weep for the choice of airframes available back then, love the Spanish F4, did the US Navy stuff all fly in from the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower,...? thanks, Ciaran

Remember it well - great show with a great variation. Also good too see photos from Greenham - was up there yesterday and great to see some shots with planes - terrible to see what it has become

Was that the year the Tomcat had a major hydraulic on landing and prior to display the Buccaneer crew paraded out to the runway by recycling the wings for a couple of goes much to the appreciation of all to see it.
Wings down and locked and flexed for flight in an emergency! Hope my stuff hasn't suffered, still in the loft awaiting retrieval.

Looking on my phone the pictures just show as a small grey rectangle with a crack in the middle, any thoughts please?
Checking online wow those bring back memories must see if I can find mine.

Super photos , wish I had a 'real' camera in the 70s.

I started mil spotting in 77 , when I went to greenham 79 I didn't know what half the stuff was and I didn't have batches for US Navy stuff.

Amazing,made the long trip from Aberdeen.That was the year with the large contingent of US Army choppers-CH-47C,UH-1H,OH-58A AND AH-1S what a surprise that was!.
Seems so very,very long ago.
