VAS enthusiasts day 3/8/11

After just 4 hours sleep we headed to RAF Valley for peek over the fence at the goings on. Sadly it was very quiet until 20 hawks all took off within a space of 5-10 mins! This was for the 70 formation that flew west to east along the 01-19 runway

Tarnish 05 called up did a run and break on 13 then vertical to 15000. Problem being I was at the 31 end!

Qinetiq Alpha jet then departed as Gauntlet

Then 2x Tornado GR4's from 41 squadron called up as Apollo and one of them was the special tail!!

Just to add that there were three Belgian F16s on the ground and that Wartons ZK119 and ZG679 (PC9's) did a very spirited Fly through and climb,

Hawk 70 shots are great. Like that they used both display jets and 3 T2s. I really need to join VAS so I can go again
