It was a later than planned arrival due to a tech issue with the 2nd aircraft in the flight causing a stopover in Italy. The light wasn't great and we weren't entirely sure it was turning up until Hellenic 338 was heard on the radio, well worth the wait though.

Nice to see, thanks for sharing this with us. But the Out of Service date is 2028, so fingers crossed, they'll be back. A bit puzzled though, I was walking around the show yesterday with a friend and we noted a lot of HAF personnel around the F-4 and elsewhere. How did they get to Fairford?

Superb shot - though I wish I hadn't seen the prints on the Hellenic AF stall of the special scheme which was on the jet that went tech! Looked fantastic

Not often the French ATC have much to be thanked for but their refusal to initially accept the Phantom meant I got to see her back over Fairford and landing.

Thanks for sharing. Had left by the time she arrived but still saw her as she flew over the pub garden in Cricklade where we were having a well deserved pint.

Phantoms are always an impressive sight.
