RAFM Cosford Night Shoot - 14 March 2020

Post by Seacat192 » Sun Mar 15, 2020 12:07 pm

The lure of the TSR2 and EAP Typhoon prototype was too much!

Having gone to their Gatwick Museum event last weekend, this weekend I made my way up the M5, M6 and M54 to attend the Threshold.aero Evening and Night Shoot at the RAF Museum, Cosford.

Here are a few photos from the well run, and well attended, event:

Is it me or is the TSR position just plain wrong, a white aircraft with a white building background and lights throwing up that huge shadow on the building. Then look at at Neptune without any background, just the night sky. The TSR could have been much better positioned.
I do what the voices in my head tell me to do!!!!

The museum made the choice of where to park the aircraft as parking it anywhere else would have caused safety issues whilst the museum was open to the public. You certainly couldn't move it to where the Neptune is, regardless.

The Threshold.aero team have spoken with the museum and together come up with some ideas for positioning aircraft for future shoots.
