Its been many many years but this years Axalp produced a winter wonderland with snow, sunshine, and moisture combining for a truly epic days photography.

Thank you all for the kind comments, I'm glad you like the images

To answer a couple of comments;

The walk up in the snow and dark was wonderful, coming down was another story as things had got a little slippier by then :unsure: , still it was a bit easier than our original intended target of Wildgarst which we had to abort die to having had reports that the snow had made at least the top parts of the path impassable.

Ive been waiting for many years for a sunny snowy day and this year it all came together on the Monday, the light was wonderful with a good deal of reflection from the snow helping, add in a high moisture content in the air and we got some incredible vapour effects hightened with the sun shining through them from behind.

Truly s-p-e-c-t-a-c-u-l-a-r. Nice to see extensive coverage of 018 back home from Leeming. Strange how they can do all this back home but have to come to the UK to fly supersonic and at night.
