The beginning of the year wasn't as busy as I would have liked due to car serviceability and career changes. There were a few deployments to the UK throughout the year which I wasn't able to attend, despite REALLY wanting to such as the B-1s and B-52s at Fairford and the Super Hornets at Lakenheath. I was however, able to get in two overseas trips to Central Europe in 2018, visiting Poznan, Poland for Tiger Meet and the Ostrava, Czech Republic for NATO Days. Events back home were also high in number with 12 airshows, 8 photo shoots and 5 'base/airport/training area' visits attended throughout the year.
I've included a shot from each of the 41 days showing the variety of aircraft shot over the year. Some events weren't so great, others were superb, but the company remained fantastic throughout. The aircraft only form part of what made this year great for me but its the social side, meeting up with friends only seen when planes are out but you guarantee they will be there, and the travelling adventures had with forum members Howard Barrett and Nick Jennings that made 2018 a truly great year. I look forward to 2019 being more of the same.
