On Saturday evening, TimeLine Events organised a night photographic shoot with the Army Historic Aircraft Flight at Middle Wallop.
This is the first batch, of three sets of photos that I will post. There are more photos from this batch on my Middle Wallop Flickr page

Not for Airliners

This was a delightful mistake. The Sioux XT131 lifted off and turned while I was still shooting a long exposure.

As an added extra, TLE organised for Wasp XT787 G-KAXT to join the daytime shoot.

Hi Buddy
Always loved to see the Beaver, back in the day, just for that crazy prop sound when she was wound up
Thanks
Paddyboy

The second of three batches of photos from the TimeLine Events Middle Wallop Night Shoot.
I now know why they called it the Wasp.

Bit of a shame with the Skeeter, being the rarest aircraft there...

What is the score with the ownership of the Skeeter XL812, Chris??
It used to be the case that it was privately owned (as G-SARO) and leased to the AACHF. This was following the permanent grounding of XL814. However, I see (from the G-INFO site) that its civilian registration was cancelled by the CAA on 14/04/2010.

It is, as far as I know, now owned by someone associated with the Historic Aircraft Flight Trust (the civilian organisation that used to be the AACHF!)
Who that person is, I'm not sure - but it seems to have been living in the HAFT hangar for some time now, hopefully being restored to airworthiness?!

Let's hope so. It would be nice to see one out and about again.
Note to self - must get round to seeing the one about a mile just down the road from me (XL765).

how do people get involved in these shoots?
Are they advertised, or word of mouth?

I Googled a number of museums and sometimes they seem to be akin to secret gatherings!
TimeLine Events
http://www.timelineevents.org/ organised this one.
They have
Classic Jets and Tanker after dark at Bruntingthorpe, 21st November 2015
The hangar 11 Collection Fighter Fusion II, North Weald 5th March 2016
Lancaster Bomber Just Jane Sunset run and Night Shoot, 9th April 2016
They are not cheap but I would consider the Middle wallop shoot well worth the money

Pretty sure all Skeeters are grounded permanently due to issues with the rotor blades.
EDIT:
Little bit about the issue here-
