It's good advice, Roger.DanO1978 wrote:Roger, I see several of these are from the show days, which enjoyed excelllent weather conditions both for flying and photography, yet these are all, without exception extremely underexposed.
Basic editing of the uneven horizons would improve them no end also.

You are perfectly entitled to process your images anyway you like but they are underexposed no matter what your screen might show you.
As for your website comment, by that level of reasoning then the Daily Mail must be the best news website in the UK.

It would be easier Roger to maybe think that all these people saying they are dark maybe onto something? You seem to think this is some personal attack when people are actually trying to help you.

Re: Air Tattoo 2015 in 4 days (Pic Heavy)
I can only think he was / she was being polite as those images are approaching night shots.
PS, I think this might be the first time DanO and I have agreed about anything!

Are you using a filter ? These are soooo dark. Shame as a nice selection.

I agreed with DanO too, it's quite unnerving!^^Gord^^ wrote:PS, I think this might be the first time DanO and I have agreed about anything!![]()
I've looked at these - and indeed all of Roger's shots on the following devices;
2014 iMac with 5K "Retina" display (not my device)
2014 iMac with whatever display they have (not my device)
My personal PC, with different, colour calibrated, Dell 1080p monitors (2x U2414H and 1x U213HM for those wondering)
My girlfriend's new Acer laptop, with a 1080p screen - not calibrated past whatever the factory do
My work's iPhone 5
My personal Samsung Galaxy S4
My spare Samsung Galaxy Nexus
My girlfriend's LG Nexus 5
My personal Microsoft Surface 2RT
Guess what? They're horrendously under-exposed on each and every one of those ELEVEN devices. How, Roger, you can choose to believe one person over half a dozen, if not more, I really don't know.
Oh, and for the record, I've averaged 800 views per day on my website for the past 12 months, even though I don't put that much content on it! Clearly, therefore, my website is better than yours.

Well it must be down to the CALIBRATION!!!!
I keep trying to take my sunglasses off, but I'm NOT wearing any!

There was a thread of Roger's on the old UKAR board back in 2007; a selection of F-15s from Lakenheath, if I recall correctly. Like this many offered constructive criticism and very useful advice, yet none of it was heeded.
You would think trying to help someone would be appreciated, however in this case it's becoming a sisyphean gesture.

This is exactly what I'm referring to, Roger. For more than eight years people have been offering you advice regarding how you can improve your photography and in your myopic stubbornness you've snubbed each and every one of us.ramjet wrote:
Whilst I'm all for helping fellow forum members; having myself benefited massively from the knowledge and expertise of UKAR and FC members past and present, for which I'm very much grateful, I can't think of you as anything other than a lost cause if this is how you act.
It must be an awfully tall horse that you're sat on, I'm surprised I haven't seen more of your air-to-air work.
