Well done fantastic pics, would like to know where you were standing and your camera lens combination? Puts mine to shame and looks like mine will see the delete button a lot.

I agree! (and thank you! Cool eh?Private Custard wrote: It was a pleasure! I always think that if I'm to spent eight hours or so, stood next to the same people, a little conversation is needed. It's especially nice when I meet such cool people as you guys.......and also the Nikon shooter behind us (D4 and 600mm).
And I'm glad I could help.........it did help.......didn't it?? I came back with a card full of rubbish until the sun shifted a little, but I am being particularly strict in deciding what I throw away nowadays!

Yep, you most certainly did help, thank you!
Glad to see your other shots from Saturday and Shuttleworth. darn stunning effort mate!

First of all, WelcOme to the site!!
Secondly, I'm loving your work. Something very fresh and steps away from the norm. Most people would be scared to try these angles, but youve done just perfect.
Love the hawk '95' shot. Lovely angle

Hi Private Custard....Thank-you for your reply.I asked the question as once a long time ago, I was in the
camp and took a photo of some of the Army historic Flight .The hangar was then fairly new and seemed a long way
from the spectator area.I didn't have a good camera then ,it was a 3 megapic compact that had just hit the market.
I paid well over the odds for the thing from the then Jessops. It is however well with-in reach as you have explained..cheers..
PPS,I will try and look for that image and will post it up if thats o.k..

Re: Forum newbie.......with more Waddington pics!
A bit late with a photo to relate to my question on my last post. This photo best explains why I asked
you the question in the first place. It seems a long way off and I was at the time in the press area
a few years ago and took this at 50mm.
The green hangar as we now know is the air ambulance park place.
It seems a long way but as you say is within reach of a 300mm lens..

Hangar located just above the stripy chair....

Good to hear back from you.Never the less not to detract too much from
your photo,it is still a good shot even though it is cropped.I do
understand it being tricky having seen the distance first hand.
Well done anyway and look forward to more from your travels...
