IWM Duxford Flying Evening 2025

Post by James Cutting » Wed Oct 22, 2025 7:32 am

Finally got around to uploading more photos from the Flying Evening held at Duxford this year. My first experience of it (Having got a membership for 2025) and it was a fantastic evening, the light was gorgeous and some good flying too! Managed to get to a few events this year at Duxford, it was nice to get over and have some variety :thumb: Bit of a lenghty post, but hope you enjoy it, some of my favourite shots of the year especially with the sunlight!

Lovely pics. I'm not normally a fan of mixed formations of unrelated aircraft but the Thunderbolt and Fury shots are really good, show the similarities and differences really well.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Lovely set, and gorgeous light. Hats off to you for getting such great results at 1/100th, if I slow my shutter down below 200 on my R7 I get zero keepers!

Good set James but with the Sabre being my highlight of the year, that take-off light is beautiful and my top choice.

Thank you, were very lucky! Appreciate that, and trust me it's not easy, probably about 1 in every 8-10 were sharp

Some superb shots there with excellent panning.
My favourite however is the head on Sabre with the jet efflux - wonderful.
