Lovely image.
Re: A10 at Sun 'n Fun 2023.
I think that's a heritage paint scheme?
Re: A10 at Sun 'n Fun 2023.
Always great to see an A-10 in any scheme! What is the reason for the large 5 on the engine?
Re: A10 at Sun 'n Fun 2023.
It is indeed a 'Heritage' scheme in the markings of the 74th Fighter Squadron when it flew P-40s in China from 1942 to 1945. All of the 23rd Fighter Wing's 'Flying Tigers' Warhawks carried large numerals on the nose or fins. The A-10 is with the current squadron.
