Picked up a last minute ticket to the Thomas Castle Aviation Heritage Scholarship Night Shoot held at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire. A cursory glance at the line up prior to arriving showed ML407 Spitfire being the 'star appearance' from Ultimate Warbirds, but due to the airframe not being able to return from Oxford, they had managed to snag the P47D Thunderbolt for the nightshoot!
The lineup included G-OFFO, Ben Murphy's Red Bull Air Racer, Marchetti, Waco Biplane, P47D Thunderbolt, DH82 Tiger Moth, DH71 and a Bucker Jungemeister with engine runs from all of these throughout the evening!
Enjoy the photos!

Did I miss the revised terminology for 'penultimate'? I'm thinking that both you Mark & I are liking the 'last shot'?
The DH71 also looks great with the open-exhaust stubs confirming the action!

The penultimate shot has a comet in it. The final shot is a Starlink constellation.

The Comet shot is a cracker never to be repeated
Re: Sywell Night Shoot - October 2024
Thank you all for the nice comments! The comet shot was a bit of a lucky guess with lining it up as it wasn't visible to the eye but I knew roughly where it should have been in the sky so was very happy when I was processing them! The starlink over the tower was a nice surprise too as we were leaving the apron!
