Nice. Oshkosh is really a 'must do' for every enthusiast. I was lucky enough to go six times between 1998 and 2011. Don't do photography, so spent the morning watching arrivals on 027 and then opposite Cloud 9 for the display. As you say, too much GA and aerobatic types in the display. I watched a lot on U tube this year, and it certainly lacked the Military participation of past years. Loved going there, but in the end it got a bit 'samey' and was just another show [albeit for 8 days at a time] that was a long way away. It was interesting with the arrivals watching those who could fly well, and those who couldn't!. Rather a lot of the latter!!. A lot of people do not practise their 180 degree turn to finals, which is non- standard, and it showed!!. Incidentally, the first day of my first time there, the temperature was 105 degrees. A record that has yet to be broken!!.

Took a ride in the Tri-Motor.
