Duxford Pre Legends Updates weds, thurs and fri added

Hello all. I'm hoping over the next 3 days to be able to post regular updates of the comings and goings at Duxford, ahead of this years Flying Legends Airshow. Don't worry, I wont be posting constant shots of Classic Wings movements! Hopefully this thread will be of some interest, the stars will stay aligned and my kit keeps playing ball.

It normally takes me months to get around to looking at my shots from events, so this is very out of the norm for me, but good fun none the less.

Well what a great idea and many thanks indeed for taking the time to do this.... it`s very much appreciated.

Great set of photo`s for the first coverage... they are all brilliant but as I am a Spitfire fan you have certainly provided my fix with these great shots.

Sadly... I won`t be able to attend this years Legends but I will be able to follow the action from your posts.

OK, so the frequent updates thing just didn't work today. I couldn't get a gap in the flying long enough to sort anything, but I have a plan tomorrow that should hopefully speed things up so I can post more frequent updates, rather than the one big post.

Anyway, as I expected, today was pretty busy. Practice displays were flown by the Catalina, Corsair, Hawk 75 and Bearcat, with many others conducting air tests or flights in the local area. A pair of Buchons and the 'Grace Spit' arrived from Sywell in the afternoon, including their recent addition.

I also noticed a new Mark V? in primer which was outside ARCO on jacks, but I wasn't able to get an unobstructed shot of it.

Spitfire V 'evocation' (Full Scale Model) and was put in the H&H Car auction last month with a guide price of £30,000/£35,000. It didn't sell. The jacks are weights to stop it blowing away.
