The 100th anniversary gave me a great opportunity to visit this stunning country and hopefully see some of the Finnish Air Force inventory, not normally seen outside of the country.
On the Saturday I spent the day inside the show but the haze and sun position made shooting a bit difficult at times. The show was broken into sections working from the past to the modern day. There were some interesting participants including the Swedish Historic Flight single seat Draken, AdlA Rafale pair (chasing each other about the sky on full afterburner) and a flypast from old and new training aircraft of the Finnish Air Force.
The static park was quite small with a mix of the old and new and each of the aircraft bidding to replace the venerable Hornet.

This meant that Sunday saw the Swedish Gripen and Finnish F/A-18 Hornet display in the morning and evening.
