Hi All,
Next week I'm off to PDX for a short business trip. When time permits I want to try my luck at PDX to spot some Mil aircraft such as the ANG Eagles and hopefully some FBO visitors.
Has anybody been there? If so please give me some advise.
Kind Regards,
Niels
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

On my limited experience I would try the multi-story car park in the centre of the airport. The top level is the obvious location but I found a level about half-way down to be better as the angles tended to be better.
With good optics you should be able to even read serials from the nose-wheel door on F-15s head-on.
Hope this helps.

It is public car-parking, costs a few dollars to park there for a short while. I don't know what the walk from the terminal(s) to the parking area is as I was driving in and out.
My guess is that it is pretty straight forward as the airport is not massive, as airports go!

Excellent view of ANG ramp (& preserved a/c) from level 7 (i.e. Top) of short term car park, if you have a car its $3.00 for an hour's parking

And when its quiet you can go down the lift to the terminal and get a coffee and something to eat.
