Spitfire TD248 took to the air 11:15 this morning which gave me chance for a visit to catch him returning.

Hi Pumpka,
Affraid no advanced knowledge of when it's flying, just a matter of listening out on HUY radar 119.125 on a good weather day, and listen for it's civil reg G-OXVI it's usually only up about 20 mins though.

Thanks for the civi reg i`ll keep listening out on frosty mornings which is the best weather in winter. Do you know if it over winters at Kirmington our does it go to Duxford for maintainence. I`ve heard the merlin engine then looked up to see it in the distance in the summer while in the garden sometimes with the 109 but to late to get Kirmington by then.
