Truly incredible, are these still visible in situ or are these old pics? Fantastic though, thanks for sharing. May be an idea for a new thread.... Historically important wrecks that are still where they fell.

They were still there when I had my sunshine tour in late 2006. The Skyhawk drop tanks are still in the bay at Port San Carlos as well. The wreck of a Harrier is still present to the west of Goose Green as well.

Rather than start a new thread (if it's OK with Goose), one of my mates shots from 2008:

That is the remains of a Pucara.
The most recent find was in 1998. This was the nose section of Israeli Aircraft Industries Dagger, serial C-437. The remains of pilot, Lieutenant Hector Ricardo Volponi, were found in the cockpit. The nose section was found by a hotel owner who was out walking near Elephant Bay. At least the find gave some closure for the family after all those years. The weather had exposed the Israeli air-to-air kill markings from the 1970s below the cockpit.
Links to images of the remains of an other Argentine Air Force Dagger, serial C-404. The weather has exposed the Israeli markings from when it was an Israeli Aircraft Industries Nesher.

Other images can be found on the following PPRuNe thread. The thread has several first hand accounts of combat from the pilots themselves.
