Very nice, I ended up here last week on the way back from Brize, what with there being 10 miles of stationary traffic on the M40. The industrial estate was closed up being a Sunday, so I couldn't see many part photographed above

I used to be an Operations Manager for a security company called Bell Guarding. And part of my area was the now vehicle storage area at Upper Heyford.I often used to wander about having a look at the old H.A.S.And trying to remember the sounds.

The security company well thats another story lol.

Brings a tear to my eye. Spent many days at UH, and did we have some great visitors over the years and plenty of them? I was gutted when it closed, but it looks as if the F-111's could still be there.

I was only talking about UH to a friend of mine in Holland a few weeks back when we went to Kleine Brogel.

My alltime favourite airbase, and in remarkably good nick considering it was closed back in 93. I bet Heyford could still be used again at short notice?

Balders, was your visit to Heyford a private one? I recall a few years back that tours could be be arranged there?
