Farewell Dominie, Cranwell 14/6/11

Post by PR9 » Tue Jun 14, 2011 4:14 pm

Ventured down to a sunny Cranwell today to see if I could catch any Dominie ferry flights.
Heat haze was a real sod so pics aren't the best.

First out, N19UK (ex-XS739)

Followed shortly afterwards by N19XY (ex-XS731)

The last one left didn't show much sign of movement, and I heard it had been rumoured to be going at 5pm so didn't hang about. This shot is pretty poor but I've included it to complete the "set".

An enjoyable if quiet couple of hours. Although it can't be denied we have had our money's worth out of them it's sad to see another serviceable fleet of jets retired early.
Was also nice to meet mistyar66 at the end of runway 27.

Thanks for looking,
C&C welcome.
MISSING - x1 Air Force.
If found please return to the UK.

Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don't have film.
